Peace in fear?
My son has been afraid to go to sleep for the last few nights... thanks to a Mysteries of the Universe book we bought him for his birthday. He is afraid of the monsters he saw, like the Yeti and Loch Ness Monster.

He and I are a lot alike in our sleep patterns. It takes us both a long time to shut off our minds. So as I'm consoling him and holding him and talking with him about God watching over us, I'm also thinking of my own fears.

Tonight I will picture God holding me as I hold my son. Comforting me and assuring me that God is bigger than what happens. God is in us and around us.
