"Love the one you're with"
Stephen Stills and Tolstoy? Yep. I'm going to challenge myself to be present, REALLY present with the person in front of me. And be present doing what I am doing at the most important time: Now.
Since my dad's death, I like to remember the times we were together. The times we were really present together. Those are beautiful memories. And they were possible because we were present.
Of course, I want to gather those kinds of moments with my boys, my husband, and my friends. But any moment can be a life-changing one; and any person can touch or be touched. By being present with everyone we encounter in every moment, we do have hope to make more peace in the world.
